On my return to Australia I was fortunate enough to work in both city and country hospitals in both the private and public health systems of NSW. As well as being a Registered Nurse (R.N.) and midwife (R.M.) I am also a Child and Family Health Nurse (C.F.H.N.). It is through my experience as a midwife and Child and Family Health Nurse that I became especially interested in breastfeeding.
I have been working with babies for almost 10 years and graduated in 2007 as an International Certified Breastfeeding Lactation Consultant (I.C.B.L.C.).
It is my philosophy that assisting parents in the comfort of their own home gives them the security to become confident in using the routines, strategies and techniques that are required to meet their baby's needs. People's beliefs and lifestyles are unique and these are taken into consideration when working with families.
